Island Getaways Maldives is a Maldives-based travel agency arranging resort stays, guesthouses, safari cruises and holiday packages. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it and how you can control it.

• Contact details you submit through enquiry, reservation or newsletter forms (name, email, phone).
• Travel preferences such as dates, guest counts, meal plans and transfer choices.
• Messages you send us by form, email, WhatsApp or our online concierge.
• Technical and usage data: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and referral or campaign parameters (UTM tags) used to understand where visitors come from.

• To respond to enquiries, prepare quotations and manage your booking.
• To send booking updates by email or WhatsApp where you have asked us to.
• To send marketing or newsletter content when you have opted in — you can unsubscribe at any time.
• To measure the performance of our website and advertising, and to improve our services.

We use essential cookies to keep the site working (for example remembering your language) and analytics or advertising cookies to understand how the site is used and to measure campaigns. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; essential features may stop working if you do.

To publish content and run campaigns we use services including Meta (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok, LinkedIn, Google and email delivery providers. When you interact with our content on those platforms, their own privacy policies also apply.

Island Getaways Maldives integrates with TikTok using TikTok Login Kit (OAuth 2.0) and the TikTok Content Posting API, solely so that our own authorised staff can publish our own marketing content to our own TikTok account.

• What is authorised: when an administrator connects our TikTok account, TikTok asks for consent to scopes such as user.info.basic, video.upload and video.publish. Consent is given by our account holder, not by website visitors.
• What we receive: an access token and refresh token, plus basic profile information about the connected TikTok account (open ID, display name, avatar). We do not receive your TikTok password.
• How tokens are stored: tokens are held as encrypted server-side secrets, are never exposed in the browser, and are used only to publish or check the status of our own posts.
• What we publish: only content created by us (photos, videos and captions about our Maldives travel products). We never upload visitor-provided content or personal data to TikTok.
• No visitor data sent to TikTok: we do not transmit enquiry, reservation or customer records to the TikTok Content Posting API.
• Revoking access: access can be withdrawn at any time from TikTok account settings or by disconnecting the integration in our admin panel; tokens are then deleted and publishing stops.

We share your details with resorts, guesthouses, cruise operators and transfer providers only as needed to confirm your booking, and with service providers who host our website, send our email or process payments. We do not sell your personal data.

Enquiry and booking records are kept for as long as needed to serve you and to meet accounting and legal obligations, after which they are deleted or anonymised.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may object to marketing at any time. Write to us at info@islandgetawaysmaldives.com and we will respond within a reasonable period.

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children without parental consent.
